SHOPPING SPREE YESTERDAY!!!! bought in exceedingly large amounts and all of it still did not equal $200 canadian!!! my purchases included: 11 wallets, 2 bags, 20 necklaces and bracelets, 2 pearl necklaces, 3 pairs of shoes, 4 pashminas, 2 magic wallets, 1 burger, 1 chicken meal, 1 ice tea, a bunch of candy, feminine toiletries, and mac lipglass and the grand total was $195 canadian dollars!!!!! amazing eh?? at first i felt guilty because it seemed like soo much then i calculated it and then i didn't feel bad coz i definitely got my money's worth.. hehehehe.. anyways...
i had GINORMOUS MANGOES yesterday.. these things are HUGE!!! its like 5 inches wide and 3 inches tall and it was sooo fat! and it weighed approx. the same weight as one textbook! and it was green on the outside so i thought i wasn't ripe but it was yellow inside and sooo sweet! when i peeled them, i literally produced a cake of pure mango meat.. it was incredible...
dinner with my cousins yesterday at chili's. KNowing it was chili's i immediately thought of fat bastard.. (i want my baby back baby back baby back) so i ordered baby back ribs. I was going for the whole ribs but decided on half.. when it came.. it was literally like 1 foot long and i was like THAT"S NOT HALF!!! if that was half, the whole one must've been the whole spine!!! hehehehe.. anyways.. fun times trying to eat the ribs as cleanly as possible.. didn't really work too well.. that was a fun dinner
today was boring.. went to the mall, exchanged one skirt for 4 more shirts, and ate at a cafe... nothing special....
dinner tonight with the senior pastor of our church and a bunch of my godparents... exciting! hehehe NOT

I HATE DIAL UP!!! everytime i connected to the internet, hotmail doesn't open, blogger doesn't open, friendster doesn't open, COS doesn't open, but out of all the sites, AA opens!!!! grrr...very very annoying...
I've done SOOO much.. but honestly, im not having the greatest time for some odd reason.. Im doing fun stuff but im not enjoying it..
Last saturday, I went to my mom's home province of Davao.. It was so peaceful and simple, life literally is sleep, eat, shop, sleep, eat shop. Every single day, we went out for dinner with someone.. hold on.. i need to explain my family
first, i've got my auntie bee dian whose my mom's sister. She has 4 sons, Hoovenson, Anderson, Walterson and Jamie. The first three got married so i had 2 nieces and one nephew Harriette, Sarah, and Adam. My 3 cousin inlaws are Awing, Beth and Eline. That's who i pretty much hung out with.
My mom's childhood friends treated her out to dinner everynight and the WHOLE family came along. Imagine the chaos and FUN! hehehehe.. so .. throughout the 5 days, i went to eat at harana(a bbq place), ranchero(another bbq place) [NO BURNT STUFF FOR ME!!], Sen Ton Won(chinese), and Thai Ming for dinner. Breakfast was at auntie's place and lunch was at awing's place. LOADS OF FUNN!!!
Shopping was endless and I bought 3 sarongs, and a whole bunch of native stuff. Went to the beach too... THE WATER WAS SOOO CLEAR!! soo much fun.
on the way back, its tradition to bring many boxes of tropical fruits like durian, pomelo (giant grapfruits), and magosteen back on the flight. We didn't want the durian and mangosteen so we ended up with 2 big cretes of pomelo and 6 little boxes of pomelo. This is excess baggage of course so i learned what the usually do. My mom went up to two people who had no baggages and said if we could check in with them so we took the tickets and checked in as a group so we didn't have excess baggage! i was soo embarassed but apparently even does this. So anyways.. im flying back to manila
Back in manila, there's a typhoon and the whole city is pouring rain. Downtown manila is like FLOODED up to the waist.. it was funny..
didn't do squat on thur and fri cept for the fact that my parents and I were pretend jamming in the car while listening to billy joel.. my mom was drums, my dad was guitar and driving, and i was piano.. it was hilarious (and no im not a loser)
today, i met up with tiff and job whom i havn't seen in ages and tonight we're sleeping over at tiff's house!!! pics to soon follow.. hehehehe..
CAN"T WAIT TILL SCHOOL!!!! hahaha.. (still not a loser)

MABUHAY!!!
hehe... havn't blogged again.. neglecting but now i have a good reason! its coz im on dial-up and it SUCKS!!! anyways... let's do a day to day description
Monday, August 16
The house is spic and span now.. my mom and I did some spring (literally, coz its rainy season) cleaning and threw out a bunch of our stuff still here that we dont want. It my case its old projects, old magazines, expired makeup and skincare, kiddie books, etc. It was fun.. especially since it some of it brought back old memories, like my social science folder that i got 100% on everything... those were the days of Mr. Blardony who gave everyone 100% if you just wrote down a bunch of words on a research paper.. hehe... anyways.. after cleaning, which practically took the whole day, my dad took my mom and I to this salon downtown called salon west. here's an article on it from the manila bulletin:
http://www.mb.com.ph/ENTR200405099121.html
Great place! the ambience is amazing and the people are so nice and friendly. I went in with a list of demands on the cut i wanted and this gay guy came forward and said he would be my stylist. It was so funny coz since i don't have a flip accent, everyone thought i couldn't speak it so they were saying everything in english and they were struggling and i was like "I know how to speak tagalog".. hehehe.... so anyways.. they cut it nicely and dyed my hair. I said i wanted it lighter so they made it really light brown so i didn't like that too much.. anyways... afterwards, my dad took us to a chinese restaurant for dinner then we went home.
Tuesday, August 17
Dad asked us to go "downtown" (for lack of a better word) to the new manila office of his company. So we endured the long ride there full of winding roads, extreme traffic, and near collision courses to get there. Once we arrived, we passed the place where my driver was shot. It was a mere five minutes from the office but it was hard to find coz of all the winding roads. I felt teary eyed. I miss my driver. Philippines is not as fun without him because he knew where everything was and exactly where I wanted to go. And he knew my favorite radio station, perfect temperature in the car and everything. (RIP MANONG). after we visited the office, my dad drove us back uptown and the Shangrila Plaza. Here in this mall, they have EVERYTHING! Burberry, Coach, Celine, Puma, Human, Shoe Salon, Furla, Lacoste, Beauty Bar, and Rustans (the equivalent of Holt Renfrew). I was in paradise! hehehe.. jk.. amazingly i didn't want anything, cept burberry shoes and I am not spending that much money on it. So i left the mall emptyhanded but saftisfied because I knew where to get the stuff if ever i really wanted it. We stopped at this cafe called ice monster that sold shaved ice with fruit toppings. Pretty creative.. anyways.. that was the day.
Wednesday, August 18
Went to Makati to pick up plane tickets for this weekend. Makati is the equivalent of downtown toronto and "downtown" is like the equivalent of a dirtier chinatown. hehe.. its literally like new york city in makati. All these high rise buildings and such. we passed by greenbelt on our way and I vowed to devote a whole day to that mall when i get back from davao next week. We ate at Dulcinea, this delicious spanish restaurant, and then we went to Pricesmart for some grocery shopping.. Then the fun began. My dad dropped my mom and I at megamall so that I could get this out of the way. Everytime I come home, I go to this one store and splurge like crazy. If anyone came shopping with me here, they would think IM crazy which is why I only come with my mom. the people who work there know me so once they saw me, the immediately took a bunch of clothes off the rack and put it in my dressing room. I didn't even have to tell them which ones i wanted. There's a limit to 3 items to try on but i had like 20! I literally tried on everything in the store and they kept pushing more stuff into my room. I bought around 5 skirts, countless tops, and a bag and altogether, it cost less than 180 canadian dollars, the price of one pair of jeans! Amazing huh? no wonder my dad told me to splurge here. Anyways.. after that, i went home coz i had to get ready for a musical.
Baby, the musical was held at the meralco theatre. My dad scored free tickets because he's a platinum subscriber to the cellphone company. They were holding this special showing of Baby and we were going. We dressed up nicely and went early for the cocktails. The Public Relations people of the company went around and took pictures us and said they would use if for the press release of the muscial and it would print in the newspaper and magazines!!! hehehe.. yay! when the time came for the show, i was excited. Then..... I fell asleep during the middle of it. It was SOOOOO incredibly boring! both my mom and I were asleep. During the intermission, I called my dad and he came to pick us up coz we couldn't watch the rest. Anyways.. that was wednesday.
Thursday, August 19
Salon Day! got my nails done, my hair colour fixed and a back massage. Yay.. went to the mall afterwards and got a bikini and shorts. I have a dinner with my dad's colleague later. Can't wait! More later..
`as you can tell, im pretty bored and IM writing long entries! hehehe.. its just to kill time....

greetings from the extremely humid land of the philippines... I arrived yesterday (saturday) at noon making it friday at midnight there completing a full 24 hours travel from toronto to philippines... pretty exhausting but the flight wasn't too shabby coz of the tv in front of you.. i watched shrek 2 and prince & me plus two episodes of friends, that 70's show and will and grace... plus sleep... gravol works wonders! slept right throught the first flight.. anyways... once I arrived here, humidity immediately struck me and I was flustered.. its soo incredibly hot!!! moving on..
Daddy's picked us up and he took us to the farmer's market for lunch.. Its a horrible place that's so dirty and wet and yucky... (its a wet market full of seafood) and the people who worked there were throwing water all over the fish and stuff so you don't know what you're stepping on but it has THE BEST SEAFOOD anywhere.. you first go around and buy the freshest seafood you want then you bring it up to the restaurant and they cook it for you.. its is DELISH!!! cept for the yucky market part... i attacked those crabs and shrimps and calamari like there was no tomorrow.. best meal yet.
after lunch, we went to my aunt's place to greet my uncle since he's really sick then we went home to MY apartment.. man do i miss my apartment.. Its so bright and orange.. efore i leave, im going to take pics.. hehe.. so we unpacked then my dad took me to the dentist right away which is two floors down. worst thing happened... aparently my bottom teeth moved alot since my wisdom teeth grew in so ....... DUN DUN DUN.. I HAVE BRACES AGAIN!! (shudder!!!) on my bottom teeth.. only four teeth have braces and I HATE THEM!!!! GRRR!!! (NO LAUGHING! ITs a horrible sight!) enough of that.. its too depressing to talk about it...
after the horrible endurement at the dentist, my dad took me to the country club to watch his friends play tennis (shudder) and have a "merienda" (snack). I miss swimming there.. its was soo fun to swim in the deep pool since its like 10 feet deep! hehe.. afterwards.. my dad remembered that he had to take the car to the auto repair shop and he needed to bring two cars so that he can leave the car there and drive home with the other car. He asked my mom to drive but she wouldn't dare so he asked me. I reluctantly agreed even though i love driving. Why??? BECAUSE DRIVING IN THE PHILIPPINES IS SCARY!!!! there are no lanes, people don't obey stoplights, cars drive right up to your bumper leaving little space to move if they do come too close and its just downright freaky.. i have no idea what made me agree to drive.. so coming out of the driveway, I stuck to my dad's bumper and didn't look anywhere else... Somehow i managed to drive all the way to the auto shop which was 20 minutes aways although my dad said it was 5 and i was shaking by the end of it. SCARY!!! my dad drove back and we stayed at home after that... i was soo tired!!!
Next day, i was awake at 830 coz church was at 930. It was the 20th anniversary of the church so they held it in the araneta coliseum. do you wanna know how many people attended this thing??? more than 12 thousand!!! coz the coliseum holds 15000 and it was pretty full... crazy!!! I expected them to play cheesy songs but suprisingly they played now that your near, everyday, and stuff like that.. and it made me miss school soo much!!! hehehe....
after church, we went to podium to eat lunch.. this restaurant is called mini shabu-shabu (hotpot) and you each have your own hot pot thingie in front of you... its fun... went around to the shops and now im home... did soo much in 2 days and the day isn't even done yet...
MISS ALL OF YOU GUYS!!!!!

the moving on process is quite successful! hehe.. thanks for whoever was there for me in my time of need... anyways... came home from yearbook camp last night... now that was an experience to remember... it started off pretty bad but i think i was alright by the time we left.. it was a nipissing university and now i can officially say that i am not going to apply there whatsoever... didn't learn much there.. andrea got sick so i watched her sleep for one afternoon.. hehe.. didn't win anything so overall it was quite disappointing.. anyways...
Im leaving tonight.. at 8 for the philippines... quite anxious coz last time I was there was exactly a year ago and a whole lot of stuff has happened since to me and my friends.. Im scared that we drifted a lot and we wouldn't know each other anymore... I hope that's not the case since friendships that tight usually last forever.. Im excited to see my Dad too... I miss him loads...
Today was Kay Sin's last day with us. She slept over last night with my mom and we spent the whole day with her just taking her places... She is honestly the best little girl I have ever met and man... its not going to be the same without her.. My mom is going to be a wreck.. I don't think I have ever seen my mom cry that much before and when kay sin left, my mom was a wreck.. I myself cried as well... I hope my mom would be okay...
Can't wait to leave now... I really need to get away from a whole lot of things and start off fresh in school... Alot of stuff got me really stressed and really down this summer and it hasn't been a fun one... Too much things to deal with and to get away from it all and just relax would be very uplifting right now... Gives me time to think about what Im going to do about stuff... Honestly, Im really scared about the future... Im scared of what's going to happen to my skating career and where Im heading to this year in skating, Im scared of school and what may happen this year, Im scared of my mom and the stuff she's dealing with now, I want to be there for her but sometimes I just can't and because of that, we've been drifting apart and I don't want that, Im scared of life in general... right now.. im just feeling a little insecure about things... too much things to think about and not too much time to deal with it... God, please help me direct my life...
anyways... Im off... Ill see you guys when I get back.. I might occasionally blog if I have internet at home...Ill miss you guys.. see ya in september....

everything is a reminder... everything i see seems to be a reminder... Its hard to deal with.... but im taking it well... still pretty down but you know what.. i was pulling on a tree the whole time and giving instead of receiving all the time... It was a useless effort anyways... whatever.. i guess its for the best....
skating tomorrow.. hope that brightens up..
