wow... what a hectic three days of doing nothing... hahaha.. okay... got a call last wednesday asking me to be part of the disney feature movie ICE PRINCESS... ignored that coz i had exams... then called on friday, and the people at the casting agency didn't know what was going on.. so ignored it.. then they called me on sunday to show up on monday at 7:00 am!!!
MONDAY
got there at 6:30 and was really pumped up to be part of a movie!!! ME IN A MOVIE!! how exciting!!! I couldn't wait for the day to start... boy was I wrong.. at 7:00 the people there took a bunch of us to a trailer for wardrobe where they chose from my array of dresses two dresses for the short and the long.. they chose my two most expensive dresses!!!! my tango dress and my les mis dress... i was happy at the time coz I LOVED those dresses... they took me to another trailer to get changed then whipped me out to hair and makeup... i first went back to the extra tent to get my hair done... the lady there said that it had to be in a bun but considering my hair is short... that wasn't really possible.. so she did this UGLY hairstyle of three ponytails... i looked bald, ugly, and i had a horse's mane at the back of my head.. that wasn't too appealing and I asked why I couldn't have it down.. they said that If i had it down, i would look too much like one of the main girls ZOEY (this gothic, rebellious girl with purple hair sticking out and a really weird skating dress.. but she's a good actress and skater). So basically, they said that all of us had to be ugly so that we won't stand out... that wasn't tooo fun... so in the process of doing my hair, the lady used half a bottle of gel and gafquat(this hair GLUE!!!) to get my hair to stay in that position...GRR!! I LOOKED LIKE A GREASY BEDHEAD!!! so after my hair was done.. i was walking around with this hideous hairdo, and the people send me to makeup.. going to makeup, there was another hairstylist, (CHINESE GIRL! hehehe) and she constantly looked at me.. or my hair at least... so she then called me over and was like... "I REALLY DON"T LIKE YOUR HAIR" so fortunately.. the asian girl saved my day! she sat me down and undid all the knots and ponytails, sprayed water all over my hair, dumped another gallop of half a bottle of gel and started styling my hair into two low pigtails... my hair was schlacked with doses of gel unimaginable already and she put more in.. i was really liking my hair at that time so i didn't mind until one of the producers or something walked in and said.. she can't have her hair like that! it'll look too much like zoey!!! boy was I MAD! since i really liked what she was doing, so she once again.. took everything out, sprayed it with water and dumped the rest of the bottle of gel on my hair... and did some weird side part, greasy, schlacked hairdo that look sooo retro!!!! i didn't like it but it was better that the first one so.. whatever... then she put two clips in my hair and i went to make up... after that.. they gave us breakfast of grilled cheese at 8:00 in the morning! imagine eating grilled cheese for breakfast! like soggy grilled cheese... EWWWW!!! we went back to the extra holding tent and i assumed that after getting hair and makeup done that they would call us right into the set.. boy was I WRONG!!! we waited until like 12:00!!!!! grr... and we kept going back and forth to the rink coz the washrooms were there.. so when we got called.. we got our skates and went to the set... four girls actually went into the arena and they were asked to pretend to stretch while the camera passed them.. me and tay however were asked to walk behind a door! WALK BEHIND A WINDOW!!!!!!!! the main girl, michelle trachtenburg, was suppose to be watching zoey, a skater, doing her solo and look all nervous or something.. behind her was a door with a tiny window and when the camera passes the door, the director wanted it to seem like there was stuff goin on behind the door.. so what do they do? they ask us to walk by the door!!!! over and over and over and over again.. what the heck is that!!! but it was our first one so we didn't mind too much...so we obediently walked by the door... we saw it on camera and all you see is the pink thing (my dress was pink) go by the window, you can't even tell its a person, let alone recognize me!!! so that was all we did for like an hour... at 1:00 we went back to the tent and just chitchatted with the girls until lunch time..which was at 3:00!!! lunch was good though, after lunch, we were given a lounge near the rink so we went there and talked and did nothing... until like 9:00 pm.. where they asked all the girls to go inside the rink and pretend to stretch until 10:00... we were then wrapped at ten.... so we went home... SUCH A HORRIBLE DAY!! they gave us grilled cheese for breakfast, made us sit in the sweltering heat forever and made us wait!!! dressed us up in our skating dresses, the one i LOVE, for 15 hours!!!! it itchy tights and since i wore the dress for 15 hours, the sequins and beads of my dress started falling off!!!i got soo mad!!! they fed us at 8, at 10 with rubber sausages in english muffins.. it was gross, then fed us decently at 3:00 and never again.. so we were all starving and scrounging for food, and they made us wait and do nothing for the whole day!!!!!! grr.. i was really mad by the end of the day that i didn't want to go back the next day... the only thing making me go back was the money... hahaha
tuesday and wednesday
the same thing as monday except, not as much gel coz they knew what to do with my hair... same dress... more sequins falling off, more walking behind doors, stretching on the ice but they weren't as bad.. for one thing, i brought food!!! A TON OF FOOD!!!! i was eating every hour!!! they didn't use us much again.. but at least we had the lounge to stay in, we had food, and we brought blankets and pillows to lie down on... and cards!!! man.. cards saved us too from boredom... so we did the same thing over for two days... but it wasn't as bad so that was alright
the girls
we really bonded and i feel like we've known each other for ages, well some i did, there was me, taylor, angelica, emily from the granite so we knew each other, then kalina and amanda from last summer granite so all of us knew each other, then there were amanda's friends sarah and jen.. sarah is sooo cool.. she's soo funny.. hahahahaha, then there was lauren and stacie, we didn't know them, then nobahar for one day, neeta and carly for the next two days and this other girl.. samantha...

i feel soo bad for her, she's asian, and she's like 18 years old... i don't know if i should believe it but she was telling us her life story and it was soo sad... she got kicked out of the house when she was 16 and was living at the shelter, she met a guy there and dated for 2 weeks then he proposed to her so now he's her fiancee... they are gonna get married in september but they have no money and they live at the shelter. she got fired from doing the movie thing coz apparently she's pregnant... i felt sooo bad for her...:(
the pay
okay.. after all those horrible things of the past 3 days... here is the good part.. the money!!!
$26.75 per hour for the first 8 hours
double that for the next 6 hours
and triple that for any hours after that so i was making $70 an hour at the end of the day
PLUS
$35 per day for bringing my skates
$105 for bringing my own dresses
$45 for meal penaltys coz our lunches were late
$45 for meal penaltys coz they didn't feed us dinner
$75 i think for turn around time because there wasn't 11 hours between they time they let us go and the time they asked us to return
so i was making a whole lot of money.. i think im missing some extra penaltys but we calculated it and it was about $800 a day!!!!!!! NICE EH???? hahahaha and i worked for 3 days so its around $2400 for three days of doing absolutely nothing!!!!
they literally could've hired normal extras to do our part for cheaper since they are paying us for special skills that they didn't even use.. we didn't even on on the ice!!!
we met some really good actra people too which are better paid extras... they were supposedly our coaches and they were really nice.. there was james this really weird, perverted, swearing weirdo who was alot of fun coz he made us laugh with his useless swearing and stupid anecdotes, there was mark, my coach who was just as silly and useless without as much swearing, there was robbie another "coach" who looked like joey from friends and was really silent, there was aliksha, a former model, like runway model in milan and newyork and stuff who got fired and was doing extra stuff, there was sonia who was super nice!!! hahahahaha
~taylor and angelica had a stalker who was this creepy guy who kept hitting on them.. he was touching them, putting his arms around them and asking questions that really freaked them out.. so we were talking about it and sonia heard so she went straight to the assistant director and action was taken.. the guy was FIRED!!! hahahahahaha... good for him... he was really really creepy
~michelle trachtenburg is sooo spoiled and snobby.. she won't talk to us and in her scene, she had to have a bottle of water but she refused to drink that water, she wanted her fiji water in it..honestly i don't see what the fuss was about for fiji water.. i drink fiji water and its nothing spectacular! hahaha... then her bodyguard was following her around everywhere and she was talking about parties and coming home at 5:30 am and stuff.. i guess that's how stars live.. haha
anyways.. that was my experience being in a movie.. hahahahaha.. let's see if you can see my head in the movie...
