let's start friday morning...

Friday
woke up super early.. at like 6:00 to get ready coz i still had to shower and do some last minute packing.. anyways... i picked up mike and we got to school by 7:00 and surprisingly, there was no one there! oiii... so we waited and people started coming little by little and I gradually realized that I had probably brought the most stuff! i don't even know what i packed! and it didn't seem to be a lot at the time.. meh.. whatever... so people came down and we waited for the bus and just hung out for a while... yep... it was clear i had the most stuff.. hahaha.. loaded the bus then sat down... one bus with the whole grade was not a pretty sight.. we were pretty stuffed in there and could barely move... some people had to triple up but thankfully i didn't have to.. hehehe... sorry.. anyways.. the bus ride was interesting... at one point.. we were playing mash and i guess i got a little rowdy that the bus driver said "hey girl with the pencil! settle down" quite embarassing but meh.. wasn't affected by it... hehehe... arrived at norval and it was snowing! eee! went into the stephen house and saw our living quarters for the next day. oiii.. we had cubby holes for our stuff! and my first impression of the beds were.. OMG.. we're soo cramped! there's no way we're gonna fit in there.. so we dropped off our stuff and went outside to play some games like chuck the shark, etc... usual team building games.. quite fun... went on a "little" hike afterwards throughout the property.. there was no way that we could memorize where to go for the search and rescue so i was a little panicked.. oh well... interesting property.. hehe.. it had a blair witch forest so that was quite creepy.. and the walk was tiring.. i was soo happy when we got back for lunch.. hehehehe

let me comment a bit about the washroom facilities.. there was one washroom with 4 urinals, 2 toilets, 2 showers and 2 sinks for ALL boys AND girls! we had to flip a sign that said girls on one side and guys on the other and if it said boys, we had to knock to make sure there weren't any guys in there before we flipped the sign.. kinda gross... had to get used to it... i don't think I did...

so after lunch, it was time to start the search and rescue. i was a little upset coz i was placed in first aid instead of search and rescue like i signed up for... so that was an hour of learning that i didn't enjoy too much but oh well... then we started the actual search! it was great.. haha.. we were team H&M! matt and norm on search, me arjun and jen on first aid, steph and greg on stretcher, tracy on crisis, heather and mike k on base... it was awesome.. hehehe... at first we were kinda confused and norm kept radioing back to base unnesscessarily.. so we persistently walked through quadrant 4 when we found a dummy! A DUMMY! it was bent in the most awkward position that if it was a real person, it would've been dead! anyways.. we had to rescue it like a real person although we wanted to just yank it from the arm! haha.. we performed first aid on a dummy that looked like einstein and made a stretcher for him. We heard screaming for help nearby so we walked a bit and found mr. radford!!! he had fake blood on his face and had a fake broken shoulder.. performed first aid on him as well and waited until another team could get there to rescue him since one team was only allowed to rescue one person.. then we headed back... it was a great experience and it wasn't even that cold..

after dinner, we had praise and worship and that was actually extremely good! acoustic always sounds sooo good! go kwan on the guitar! hahaha... very uplifting experience and the sharing was awesome.. Mr. V's was soo inspiring that i was teary-eyed after... actually all the teachers had really inspiring messages... it was like.. God was telling us through them what exactly he wanted us to hear.. and they all seem to have similar messages which was treasure our time right now and enjoy our friends and learn to trust God and not stress over things too much... very applicable...

bonfire! awesome! hahaha.. very scary walk though... plus walking with the likes of mike, matt and tim didn't help since they tried to scare me every single step! GRR!!! and plus adam's scare was sooo scary!!! marshmallows were good! YUMM!

the next day, praise and worship once again, then we had time alone... didn't think alot of people would take it seriously but they did! that was awesome to see... once again.. God revealed that I had to treasure and really be thankful for the friends I have... it seems to be a recurring message... herm...

went back for our girls sharing.. that was interesting... hehe.... Esther's story was awesome!!! hehehe.. i shared about treasuring my friends and i started to cry.. man.. im gonna miss everyone!!!!

anyways.. then we packed and went home...

at night.. a bunch of us went for kbbq! hehe.. yum yum yum!!!!

REPORT CARDS TODAY!!! YAY!!!!! did better than i expected! YAY! heeheehe.. quite happy today..

plus.. NO SCHOOL TOMORROW!
